Read about the latest MG Hector news
We know you have been following this
space regularly for updates on the latest MG Hector. As per the latest MG
Hector news, it has already been revealed ahead of its launch in June 2019. Of
course, so far you had been only reading about different specs, both interior
and exterior, but it is finally time to see the massive SUV in the flesh, and
boy, it sure was a pleasure to get a feel of the UK product in India.
Though it already looked big in pictures, trust
us, the MG Hector exterior is even bigger in the flesh. Its length of 4655 mm
is complemented with a butch-looking black mesh grille, surrounded by delicious
dollops of chrome. Its headlamp assembly is in the bumper and DRLs (Daytime
Running Lights) are placed just on top. All said and done, the massive overhang
may just be a wee bit difficult to get in and out of city traffic. But then,
what are highways and expressways really for, if not to let such vehicles express
themselves?

Interiors
On
the inside, MG Hector has a three-spoke steering wheel which is easy to grasp
and convenient to maneuver as well, giving a beefy feel just like the car
itself. The tachometer, though, may be a little difficult to read as per its
layout, at least at first. What is really impressive is its 10-inch
touchscreen, which has several features, including Remote Location,
Geo-fencing, Real-time navigation and Emergency Response. The Voice Interface
may take a bit of time to get used to, as it attempts to get used to Indian
English.
Space
is in the rear seats is really good, and even a 6-footer can sit with ease. At present,
MG Hector in India will be available as a 5-seater option, but a 7-seater could
be on the cards soon. The boot space in this vehicle is truly massive, much
larger than most vehicles.
MG
Hector will be sending software updates Over The Air (OTA), in the form of
feature and firmware updates, with the help of smart connectivity. Customers are
also expected to get free data for the first few years.
