What you should know about the new Hyundai Venue

Ahead of its launch on May 21st, the Hyundai Venue has raised considerable interest in the minds of buyers and auto enthusiasts alike. Reasons for the same are not difficult to fathom, considering interest in the Korean brand's products and the need for a compact SUV that is more affordable than the hot-selling Creta.

Along with some stats, here are some of other things you should know about the first compact SUV from Hyundai:

1. More than 10,000 bookings have already been achieved in the past 20 days, as per inside sources at ET Auto

2. For the first time, a car in this segment will be available with connected "Bluelink"technology, which has 33 AI and connected features. Among there, 10 have been devised specifically for India.

3. The three greatest competitors to the Venue are the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV 300 and Tata Nexon. Out of the 26,000 compact SUVs sold every month, roughly 13,000 are units of the Brezza itself

4. In terms of design, the Venue will be close to the Creta. It will get split DRL headlamps, inspired by the Hyundai Kona and Santa Fe. The front grille is where the Venue really stands out, distinguishing itself from Creta and the competition. Indian variants get extra cladding on the front bumper for that typical SUV look.

5. Variants will include E, S SX, SX+, DCT and SX (O). Expect prices to range from INR 8-12 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
