Honda Cars India at the 2016 Auto Expo

Japanese manufacturer Honda may come with a few surprises this year at the Auto Expo. From what has been heard, it will be a display of facelifts and new models for the company. Let us take a closer look at what should be seen in the Honda cars pavilion this year:

A) Honda Amaze facelift: Talks about a new avatar of the Honda Amaze are on for quite some time now. Major changes will be seen on the interior, which is expected to be on similar lines as the Mobilio. In fact, the new Mobilio was launched yesterday in Indonesia. Like the Mobilio, the new Amaze will get a touchscreen entertainment system having integrated reverse camera display, automatic climate control and rectangular AC vents. On the outside, only the front grill will be restyled. Amaze will mechanically remain the same.

B) Honda BR-V:   The BR-V from Honda is going to be a major highlight this year. The reason for it is the first compact SUV, or Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV) as called by Honda, will be showcased. Its bold sporty appearance, coupled with curvy looks and SUV-like handling is likely to make it stand out. To be launched this year, the vehicle will clash head-on with the Hyundai Creta and new Renault Duster.

C) New generation Honda Accord- After going out of the market for some time, the Honda Accord is now back in its latest avatar.  The most interesting aspect to look out for is that the Accord will return with a hybrid engine! The 2 litre, i-VTEC petrol engine will be combined with an electric motor. While the petrol unit will churn out 141 bhp, the total power output on this sedan will be 196 bhp, with 306 Nm of torque. Transmission on it will be electronic CVT.

D) McLaren Honda MP4-30: Racing machine Mclaren Honda MP4-30 may steal the show from everything else at the Honda pavilion. This Formula One car is the first one built by the company since 1992.

E) Honda ASIMO: Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility (ASIMO) is a highly advanced humanoid robot. It will be present at the expo and is expected to thrill the audiences.
